it stalls up to 2500 rpm and is relatively cheap to purchase. i think some have gotten them for 150ish to 250 range

Yeah, the I6 is pretty good on power. You should drive the Trailblazer with the 5.3 !!

my mom got the I6 in her envoy. that thing is pretty quick. when you mat hers it revs up and goes. seemd like the engine loves high rpms.

got the tb tc in my truck it stalls around 2200-2400. i love it but will defently be going bigger once the trans goes

I test drove a 5.3L, And you are right it definatly is quick. We decided if we were going to spend that kind of money we may as well go ahead and buy a Tahoe. We got this TB with 52K for only $13100. Awesome shape I thought it was a steal!

now that you have a trailblazer get prepared to meet you service department, gm has so many recalls on the things right now, wiper motor failure, tailamp failure, shift interlock, pcm updates, and maybe another one but cant remember. good engines though, never seen a problem except spark plug groud straps falling off, that fixed that at the factory, one piston bore sleeve siezing to the piston, coil pack weather seal leaks and fills spark plug hole with water, and multec 2 injectors misfires, gastank filler necks break and set dtc. thats about it. most of that stuff has probablly already been fixed on yours though, i6 is a very well built engine, i went to a gm class on these, i swear the bottom end could take 20 psi boost or 200 hp shot if it had better pistons.

i don't think the trailblazer is all that bad. i chased vibrations when the 99' silverado came out for about 6 months along with many, many other issue's. for an all new vehicle, the trailblazer wasn't as bad as i'd expected with the exception of new updated software for every damn module in the truck on a weekly basis.
