Why a SRT-10...
#22
I got the chance to drive the srt-10 yesterday and it is just badass. The truck only had 90 miles on it so I kept the rpms under 4k, but it was awesome. My dad has a new viper and that is the only other vehicle that I have driven that is more fun than the ram srt. If they weren't going for 50k, I'd have one.

Guys, it simple. Since Chevy doesn't make a street killer truck make your own.
Dodge SRT-10.....$47k good for ~13.6 1/4 stock
Ford Lightning.....$37k good for ~13.9 1/4 stock
Chevy/GMC V8 reg cab.....20k good for ~15.2 1/4
Now add 17k to that Chevy:
409 built small block 6k
stage 2 heads 3k
headers/intake/ exhaust 1K
built tranny and converter $3k
tunning .5k
$3500 left for more stuff
good for ~ 12.0 1/4 w/o a power adder

HEY GUYS WHAT DO YOU THINK 572 620HP WITH 4.10 GEARS IN A 90 EXTENED CAB TRUCK..
THATS MY FUTURE PLAN AFTER i SEEN THE dODGE RUNNING 12.9 AND COSTING LOT.. i WANT TO BEAT THAT AND HIT HIGH 10 IN THE QUARTER MILE..
THE TRUCK MY DAD BOUGHT NEW IN 90 STILL HAS STOCK EVERTHING...... CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE IT INTO A z06 AND A SR10 KILLER

The SRT-10 is all about the V10 under the hood, plain and simple. For $47,000 you get a bonafide guarantee that at every stoplight you wait at, for every parking lot you pull into, for every staging lane you line up in, that every single male (and most females) within a 1/4 mile radius will stop and gawk and start asking you questions.
The Daimler-Chrysler marketing guys are geniuses... Look at how much every single truck owner is freaking out about the HEMI - everyone knows its just a "decent" engine when it comes to specs but the marketing hype behind it has everyone comparing everything to it both at the track, on the forums, in their commercials. The SRT-10 is just pure gold.
