You laugh but it was actually a decent amount of weight. I wasnt going to elaborate but it was a 6L rotating assembly, box full of all the covers, nuts, bolts, lifters, blah blah blah for my old 5.3 and the donor 6L block so about 150 pounds worth of ****. My truck had a curb weight of probably 5800-5900 compared to a race weight of 5100 or 5000. Big difference, but he lost anyway so

I know of one that is shooting for that record. On the winter wheels and tires (245/70R17's with steel wheels) and running out of injector by 5400rpm there is one that went 13.85@101.7. I expect that truck to make it into the 12's once we get some tire back under it and a converter in it. He is also a member of the site. Not sure if the 12.9 guy is a member or not. We hope to get a 13.5 out of it now that the truck has 42lb hr injectors in it. Here's what happens when you run the tank too low on fuel on your way to 143mph.



And the new GM pistons with an even thinner top ring. (That's what warrenty is for).

In that snapshot you can see first hand how useless the truck intake really is lol. 95 KPA.

It was a fun night till, that lol..
