Forget y'all! Geeze, reeling me in on this stuff isn't good. I never heard of it, so I was intrigued. Still his wires are red, extra 15HP at least!

The RED wires are the experimental Uranium Core Ultras that flow more freely than solid 24k gold core wire. Its an offsring from a NASA project in the late 90's.

Actually, my plug wires are red too. My truck is a rcsb '04 with a 4.8L and 5spd. It's black so maybe they put red ones in to make the engine compartment prettier But my plug wires are red with black boots as well. So you're not the only one. My motor however is a 4.8 and I bought the truck new with 6 miles on it. My truck was ordered by Regency conversions but never got converted. I bought it in stock form before they got their mitts on it Could be hi-perf factory wires though?

My brother has an 03 and they are grey. My cousin bought an 04 Silverado in the Summer and they are red AC Delco so I guess the 04s got red spark plug wires.
