Default whos truck is a turd when ac is on

mine runs fine, but feels like has no power. I know you lose some power when its on, but Damn thinking about a tune upgrade even with a stock motor

a tune would net you a lot of gains, and it should be the first mod anyone does IMO. IIRC the computer pulls back the throttle a bit to keep you compressor from blowing up due to your heavy foot.

dont notice any change in my power even with ac on 5...even on a 100 degree day and I leave it on 5 all the way home which is 45 miles. plus I drive my truck hard.

i can notice some difference when my compressor is kicking on and off. really dont even use it anymore, even when its 90* out here recently. thinking about maybe just taking all the a/c stuff off, but still havent 100% convinced myself to do so on a DD..

doesnt really matter when you go WOT.. The PCM is commanded to shut off the compressor when the TPS goes 100%

Oh yeah, it's a real dog turd when you idle for a few minutes and the fan clutch is fully engaged.

Mine falls on its face when the compressor cycles on during regular acceleration. Mine is even tuned so no timing is pulled when it cycles on...
