Is there really a big difference when the 6 has a 4l80 behind it, compared to a 5.3 w/4l60?

On the bottom the 4L60 is quicker but the 4L80 makes up for it quick on the top....from my experience

Mod for mod, yes....

My experience (I think the 60' numbers are right but I'm not 100% sure):
5.3, Radix @ 9 psi, 4L60E, 210/218 116lsa cam = 13.57 @ 99, 1.85 60'
6.0, Radix @ 9 psi, 4L80E, 216/224 115lsa cam = 13.64 @ 104, 2.04 60'

cant really go by that. 6.0s have better heads which flow 270 i believe and 5.3s flow like 245. up top makes a difference. also the cams in the 6.0s are almost identical to what was in the 5.7 vette motors. so right there are your advantages on topend

when you 60' well your mph drops slightly and so does ET.
but in your point you show two non stock cams but the heads make a difference

So, the 5.3 with the smaller cam was faster...

Faster ET but slower trap speed, which is basically exactly what trever1t said above.

The heads on the new 5.3 and the L33 flow as well, if not better than 317's
