Default Where to start???

i have a 99rcsb 5.3 with 3.42's , im not sure what to start with to get some power out of it... it has 110,000 on it, i have a CIA on it and flowmasters, i have a transGo hd2 kit for it with a vett servo , i have not yet installed it. is it a good idea to install it with that many miles on it?(i know the 60's are weak) im planning on a wait4me tune when i do that...i know in the future i want a cam swap (this summer) ....
i need some opinions on where to start on it..??

Well, you have a good start. If you can, take it to the track before you start making plans. Then figure out where you want/need to be. I am contemplating the tranny issue too, mine had 122,000 on it. This winter I might dive into my top end and also do a shift-kit and stall an a b&m cooler(for sure)....mabye, or just rebuilt the whole tranny, but there is nothing wrong with it now so I dont know.

You should definatly go with the tune tho, I'm gonna order mine up here in next couple days...

Each tranny is different. Some have blown with less than 50k and some last to 200k. It's hard to tell. If you don't have a power adder in the plans, then I would say just get it rebuilt. With upgrades of course: high friction bands, seperator plate, etc. I would go ahead and do the servo now. From what I've read, it will extend the life of the tranny. The shift kit might be too much for the bands to take.
