I've bought tires from tire rack for over 20 years - always the cheapest I can find for the tires that I want.

amen to that.

also someone said buying a machine to mount tires you don't have to have one but it's hard as hell to do it but you still have to balance them.

I would like to know this too. I have checked the prices from tire rack etc. and they are pretty good but then you have topay someone to install them. I just buy all my tires locally since they are usually only $5-10 more installed.

if you have a discount tire location near you they will match tire racks prices, discount directs prices or whoevers prices for that matter and mount/balance the tires for you for free. discount tire rocks IMO
