changings fluids are said to be done every 30K miles.. if you have rather high mileage (60+?) and are unaware of the history of fluid changing then you continue to change it every 30 but do not do a complete flush. DOing so can damage your tranny and/or shorten its life.
With this kinda thing in mind.. don't mind me for hijacking the thread..
I'm about to open my tranny up to install the servo's and the **** kit. I have no other choice but to change my fluid. Do I follow through with a flush? Or just replace the fluid/filter that was lost. I have 65,300 miles on an '03

...yes...hell yes...Trever1t is right! I do mine every 20K miles but never let it go pas every 30K. Keeping the fluid clean and keeping an eye out for metal in the pad is the life of your tranny. And I woulden't hurt to put a deeper pan on there. The more fluid, the cooler the fluid, the longer the tranny lasts.
