The results are looking like i thought they would. I dont understand why my wife needs 5 pairs of black sandals(over 20 pairs of shoes total), and she doesnt understand why i need that much power. If it wasnt for the love and the child support rates i tell you what. j/k lol.

Mine live 20 min away and I havent seen them 3 times this year. Most of the time it is fair though (lasik next month), but sometimes her requests are a little hard for me to understand *cough* plane tickets *hak*. I mean seriously that blower and nitrous should take off near 2 seconds
. For the most part women have different priorities. Besides, I wouldnt be where I am if it werent for her.
Guess thats just the way it goes. She is very cool though. She always agrees to let tme get what I want even though she doesnt understand any of it.

My wife actually encourages me to mod my truck. I just have to make sure we have enough money for her to match the price plus a little.

My wife doesn't really like it much! She likes a nice car to drive (she wanted an 04 Honda CRV which does suite her) but doesn't see the need to "fix it up". I get the old "you have a beautyful truck, what do you need to do this or that to it for?" speech every once in while. She thinks me going to the track is pretty silly and I get the old (again) "you better not break anything speech". It's not like she nags me about it because she doesn't and I'm pretty sensible with our money and what I want to do with the truck. Right now, I/we have other priorities with our money. Our sons college tuition, he has one more year. Planning and saving for our daughtwers wedding which will be about $15K, it's in June of 05. Then the house needs a few things done to it, the one big one is carpet. Our youngest is only 13 so he'll be on the payroll for another 10 years. Once the two older kids are off the payroll, I may have a little more play money.

When I first started modding the truck, I had a girlfriend that didn't like me spending money on the intake and stuff, luckily the mods at the time were easily hidden. "See no evil, hear no evil."
Well, she's long gone
, but we're still firends. Wonder how she'll react to the new seats, motor, and such next time she stops over and actually takes notice.

I spent alot on my cars and trucks and alot of time on them.
Example - I spent this Sat and Sun - removing old crappy brake lines
going to the parts store twice - sitting on the garage floor and bending lines
then installing them....then doing a diff service....then fuel lines....
She would come out - - see what I was doing - bring me a diet coke
Then last night I took her to dinner
So I try to balance it out.
Buy her stuff too - clean her car - detail it - service it
Friday I went shopping all day with her at an outlet mall.
I just try to keep it in check and balanced.

Not married but still catch hell from my mom and girlfriend. Like Y2K, I hear "you have a nice truck already, why spend money to make it ugly
" or "$150 exhaust, did it not have one when you bought it!" Going to the track is pretty fun and the girlfiend thinks its cool to race, as long as its not mine out there because "I make break something" or "don't go out there and act stupid!" I know I'm pu$$y whiped, but hey I'm gettin', right?

My main gripe is that I got another 150-170 hp from the nitrous and supercharger for around 4grand. She just wants clothes and shoes and stuff that is going to have to take up room in my half of one of the 4 closets!!! Out of 4 closets I get half and slowly dwindling. She probably has half a closet full of clothes that still have the tags on them. Money is money though and she works hard for hers so I try to understand her stuff and she tries to understand mine. I guess thats what a partnership is all about... mutual respect.

Let me say this, my wife is more on the "doesn't like it" more than the"thinks its OK" side. But not all the time. She doesn't mind me modding out my truck as long as it doesn't cost money. She also likes going to the meets with me and would like to be more involved in everything with my truck. But I think it is because she is just nosey and doesn't like to give me any privacy. She doesn't understand why things for my truck cost so much. She would be fine with me modding my truck if we weren't such on a tight budget.
My wife and I have some what different accounts. One is a savings account that is strictly for the house payment and the other is a checking account that is for everything else. My wife's paycheck goes into the savings and mine goes into the checking. Well, last week I was talking to her and she told me that it would be okay if I were to take out some money when ever my check clears, "no questions asked." All this was said before the Mother's Day. Well I get to talking to her yesterday about a SS tailgate cap that I am getting painted and told her that the next thing that I want is a smooth bumper cap. I also stated that I would take some money out of the checking account to save up some money for it and all of a sudden she is like, why???? I told her what she had said the other day and she goes back on her word. She says that she didn't say "no questions asked." I was like WTF! I think to myself, its okay if I take out money if it's used to buy her something but when it comes to me getting something for the truck it's not okay. It's crap like that that pisses me off. When we met she was working but quit her job after she accidently got pregnant. So it was my income that was supporting us. After she had the baby, she working her 40 hrs again. But then she started going to school and was down to one day a week of work. Also her 90 yr old grandfather moved in with us. Bigger apt, bigger payment. So still my income was supporting us. My wife gets a job last June right before I start writing hot checks and her grandfather moves out. Here I am trying to save money at the same time which I can't do. So now the reason why I am so hesistant about getting stuff for my truck is that we are on a really tight budget, again, and a lot the extra money goes to buying things for the house. I usually know how much money is in the bank and so does she and that is why I told her "no questions asked" so that she won't question me when she sees a withdraw on the account. Which she should in the first place because I have rights to that money also.

, though. Can't let her know everything, she'd flip out. Been real cool about my 408 build, though.
