Chingy's got it...I bought two liscenses for my cable.

As for the motor...it has less than 500 miles on it. It was a replacement motor for a guy that blew up the motor in his 2000 T/A. The motor that I have was the FIRST replacement...it was pulled from the car for a "noise" and replaced with a SECOND replacement motor.

We think that the "noise" was an electrode that melted off of a spark plug. Wonder how that happened? The piston and the head have a tiny mark in them that was uncovered when we were cleaning the pistons before we put them back in. Here's a couple of pics of the damage:

Here are some pics of the motor when we got it, and with the short block assembled.

Sweeeeeet! Too bad that I won't have a chance to get back on top of the N/A 4.8 list.

Damn Thunder ran a 14.6 at 89 MPH while Scream ran a 14.7 at 96. Thats a huge MPH difference. With a TC and radials scream should be in the low 14's with that MPH. However, with his LS1 he will be in the low 13's or 12's (the LS1 is cammed right?)

The motor is in and running. It cranked up on the 4.8 tune, but wouldn't idle too well. We're going to work on a tune and blow that in tomorrow.

And, just for the record....my fastest MPH was almost 97 mph. I just didn't get a better ET so I didn't post on here for the list! I'm quite sure that my 4.8 with a TC and some traction would have pulled high 13s/low 14s. I don't think that I'll get anywhere near low 13's without traction, but we'll see the 24th when Gainesville opens back up!

Is a 13.97 @ 98 MPH in a NA 4.8 daily driven Silverado that wouldn't hook a good number these days? Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but looks like things have come a long way....
