I would have gone with 18's had price not been an issue. I'm glad I went with 17's though cause I think it resembles factory, but it just looks a little different. I get complemented on my truck ALL THE TIME. I had an older lady at McDonald's drive thru tell me she liked my truck. I caught her checking it out as I was leaving. Last time I was at the track, several people came up to me and complemented on how it looked. One time I was driving through the pits and some little kids were talking about how they wanted one like mine when they got big. The stories go on ... I'm not into flashy stuff. It's bright blue, that's as flashy as I want it. It's stock height, the ONLY thing apperance wise I've done to it is the new wheels and tinting the windows.

As for the 20's .. I'm not a fan of them. It's to much rim IMO. 20's look good on very few vehicles. I also think there is a right way and a wrong way to drop a vehicle. Most all of the drops I have seen look horrible I think. If it doesn't have a good stance ... If you have a good stance, it doesn't take much to make it look nice.
Just curious...and I won't get my feelings hurt at all because I built my truck like I wanted, and will continue to do so.

But what do you think about my truck? It sounds like everything that you DON'T like in a truck. Just curious to see what other's think. I've had people tell me that my truck is "bling bling"-ish, other's say it's kinda street rod-ish, others say that it'sa "low rider."

One option I've thought of is mini-tubbing the rear, going with a 4-link and c/overs, and putting 20X12's w/ 345/25-20s out back. Kinda a modern day Pro Street look.

Got some bigger pics?

I'm BigTex .. I like it clean. Everything I do to mine has more function that just looking good. I want it to look as though it 'could' have come from the factory with anything that I've put on it. Nothing to out of the ordinary.

I think that would look really cool. Sports cars (vipers, vettes, ferrari's) all come with large wheels and thinner tires as opposed to vehicles which arent performance oriented. Trucks are bigger and sit higher so IMO it needs a bigger wheel to look proportionate ( if you are looking for performance street look, which I am). When I look at my truck now the 20's seem too small, I guess Im really into the whole sport/street truck look. Im going to wait to see how it looks with the 2/3 before I plan on getting bigger.
To each there own, besides Im not going to be on the fastest truck list any time soon.

I know exactly what your talking about.....
Looks like a monster truck - when they trailer them around....haha

I am also like Flyer and Tex

I like em clean - well engineered and thought out.

How many engine bays and outsides... look like Pep Boys, Summit, Jegs, and JC Whitney threw up in there ???
Every color under the rainbow and every bolt on, wiring covering, tube, hose, most look like a disaster.
The worst is the fake braided lines/hoses with the fake hose ends - and the bolt cap covers...in red, or blue or chrome.....

I like the sleeper look - stock looking but will kick ***.

That's what I'm talking about!

Mine looks totally stock except for the wheels and tires. If you look hard, you can see the gauges in the pillar. Other than that, nothing else says watch out unless you notice the traction bars.

Under the hood ... it looks factory. It's fairly clean, no flashy stuff, could even pass as factory. That's the main reason I went with black coating on the headers rather than chrome.

I am not a big fan of "bling", but I am not a "bling" hater. I just like the lifted truck approach. I respect anyone that puts time into their car or truck. I love to go to shows and look at trucks that are bagged and have 24's on them. It is just not for me. Then again, not everyone likes my truck. But, I make the payment and I decide what to do with it. As long as you like what you are doing, who gives a sh*t what everyone else thinks.

Im with Scream to a point. I would like to get some 18x8s for the front and 18x10s out back. I like to go fast and look good doin it. I dont care for trucks w/22s or bigger though. SUVs and AVs look good with 22s and 24s though.

Show should be show, and go should be go. But if you can find a tasteful blend thats functional, great! Thats custom rodding.
