Default What year engine will interchange with my 2005 4.8

I recently picked up a 2005 Sierra RCSB with the 4.8. I'm planning on swapping up to either a 5.3 or 6.0. What years will interchange ? Is the 4.8 in my 05 58 or 24 tooth reluctor? If I decide to go to a 4l80e what's involved in that swap? Will I have to do the segment swap on the tune?

Just looking into my option for the build.

Any Gen 3 motor should work LQ4/9 most likely your best bet. However, just keep your 4.8 and buy a turbo kit. All the cool kids are doing it.

4L80e swap isnt too crazy. The hardest part for me is finding a good trans for the money. There are a lot of threads on here about it that you can research on.

Im just wondering if the trucks are the same to where you can just buy the adapter harness for the 4l80e. I know there are a few different ways to do the swap as far as the tune. I have a built 4l80e and yank converter but its for my coupe mustang.
The 4.8 has 150k miles on it and not really sure if I want to jack with a turbo build. I looked at the on 1 kits but haven't really seen any feedback on them and their turbos are junk.
