you should probably drive both before you decide but it is nice to have opinions from here.

Colorado for the fuel economy (I know, gas will never go up again), and the future hot rod-ability. Once the factory puts a V8 in something, it's a lot easier to trade it out for a high-perf LSX than put a V8 into something that never had one.

I'm leaning towards a full size now, I really think I want 4wd for the winter too. I'm also starting to lean towards an ECSB, just to have the back seat, etc. How much slower is an ECSB, vs. a RCSB?

True, the Colorado will prolly get better MPGs just due to lighter weight alone. Even tho I've never driven either, I'm inclined to agree on GMT900's being better in the ways nighthawk08 said. I doubt the GMT900 RCSB behind seat storage improved much over GMT800.
I think the best advice, as he also said, is to probably drive both before you decide.

Do u really need an ECSB? What do u want to put back there? If it's stuff you'll seldom use, get a RCSB & put a tonneau on it, & if it'll be items of high value get a hard lid. Do u camp or family? If so, get ECSB.

An all out barn burner? Find out the weight on a Canyon vs Silvy. I'd think the mid size would be lighter, by how much, IDK.

I live close by. I don't need 4wd for winter. I'm on the road in early AM, sometimes before plowed, not great, but acceptable. But I also don't camp or hunt. As to an ECSB, my bro has 1. It's nice on a long trip to put seat back, but for me, it's too much real estate. When I have a hard lid, I'll be happier. For me, I really would just put a lil cheap jack in back, a cargo bar to keep my groceries in check, & 1 milk crate.

Weight diff of ECSB vs RCSB? My guess... .4 slower. Maybe. Do what fits your needs. My vote: Fullsize.

My last two trucks were 2wd, I'm just thinking I might like 4wd better. The main reason for me starting to lean towards EC, is to be able to run more than 1 passenger if need be. I don't have a family to worry about yet, or anytime in the near future. fastnblu, how does your truck hook up on the street? I've heard that people have a lot of wheel spin issues with 2wd trucks on the street, where as a 4 hi launch can be pretty quick. I seen your in the Detroit area, and have a local tune, where did you get it?
