Default What Tools Are Needed To Change the Waterpump?

its and '05 gmc with 4.8Lc, so it has the electric fans. It looks pretty simple with plenty of room.

I dont have access to my tools. Could someone please tell me what I need so I dont buy any more than I need to? tia

could it be the gaskets?

Heres how the whole thing started. Thermastat got stuck and overheated the engine. I changed the thermastat then it started leaking real bad, even though it never leaked before. I replaced the thermastat again and it still leaks. Weird.

I dont mind replacing the waterpump since it has 95k miles anyway.

Are you sure its laeking from the thermostat? I had a leak from the weap hole that almost took half the coolant from my engine! When you overheated the engine i could have messed up the water pump seals or even warped it. Im just thinkin here...

15mm for the belt tensioner
10mm for the 6 waterpump bolts
channel locks or big pliers for the hose clamps
