I'm pretty happy with the Nitto 420s I've been running in a 305/40/22. Seem to be wearing well and problem with wet or dry traction so far.

The Nittos look very similar to the Firestones.

NT420S

Destination ST: Firestone Tires

Weird.

General grabber uhp here. I don't think they will last for ever being so soft, but they are cheap enough it doesn't really matter.

I'd really like to go with the General Grabbers, based on their reviews alone. The biggest problem I have is the occiasional snowboarding trip. Also, maybe once a year, it snows where I live.

I thought about maybe going with the Grabbers and then looking into getting them siped. There's a HUGE debate on the subject of siping.

How's the road noise with the Grabbers?

I'm running the Toyo Proxes S/T and STII. I've put these tires through everything. They've been through blistering heat, rain, sleet, snow, you name it.

Mine are 295/45/20 on 10" wide wheels. I can hear them with the window down, but not with it up. By the looks of the tread, I have a feeling they will do pretty good in snow, and they do great in rain. Mine is my dd, and I live in Ohio, and I'm not to worried about snow.

By the way, mine sits just like yours, and I think mine needs to go down 2"-3" also. I just haven't gotten around doing it.

I found a pair at Discount Tires Direct.com

Gentlemen.. we have to consider IreGret is in the Pac NW, so he's not going to have the same conditions we have, especially the heat factor. Soft tires like the GY Eagle GT II's are a POS in my eyes, and would not use here in the South. Yeah it's a pretty tire to look at, but that's about it.. no functionality.
