in the very first picture I posted, the one with the bottom of the front shock...those white fork looking things that get bolted to the truck...what is the actual name of that? Do those come with the shocks when you buy them?

Those dimensions sound like its at stock height. (the flares account for about 1/2")

BUT if its lowered, here's two shock options from beltech...

Yes, the fork/tee things come with the shocks.

FWIW, you could run a stock shock in that truck. A drop shock will just stiffen up the ride. The extended cab in my signature is a 4/6 DJM lowering kit. It has Monroe Sensitracks in it.

oh okay. Does it matter that the tire are P275/55 R20 (20" rims?) It just looked like that spacing between the top of the tire and the lip of the wheel well was closer than I'm used to seeing. Plus, I've only had the truck for about 2 months, and I was driving a lifted Tahoe...which I gave to my wife after I got the Silverado. So I was use to sitting up higher.

So stock shocks would work just fine then huh? Well I guess it's time to start shopping again. Thanks!

32" tall tire seems normal for a 4x4

And it's not a 4x4.

Yeah, thats the 4x4 tire size. If you are used to seeing 4x4 trucks, like around where I live, then every 2wd looks a bit lowered. From the measurements ou posted, I'd say its a stock ride.

Well I successfully replaced the shocks. But I have a question. I'm not sure how much to torque the bolts. There are two that bolt the fork bracket to the bottom and then the one on the top stud with the washers and bushings. Also, after lowering the truck down from the jack, should I tighten the those bolts again? I couldn't find any information on this.
