Pennzoil or QuakerState. I have crates of it in my back garage that I collected from 10 years ago when oil was 80 cents a quart. 6K-6500RPM shifts on all 3 of my trucks daily and never had a failure or have seen premature wear due to bad oil. I'm not going to argue that synthetics and modern oils aren't better, but what I will say is that if you buy the cheapest damn brand x oil you can find at your local farm supply store, you will not have your truck long enough or want to keep driving the same motor around long enough where you'll see any ill effects.

M1
The real answer is that as long as you use a quality lubricant, and change fluids religiously you wll be fine on a dyno or synth lube. I like M1 and have always run it since break-in.

Used to use mobil 1 5w30, but I get royal purple cheaper now, so I run their 5w30 now, as well as a lucas oil stabilizer
