I have the Magnaflow system on my 6.0L. I love the sound. Most of the time it isn't too loud. For me it is on the louder side without going overboard. Wife hates it though so I am about to swap in some Hooker Aerochambers with Vibrant resonators.

Is the corse exhaust worth the money? I cannot find one less than 800 bucks for my Silverado. I would like to go to a 4 inch instead of a full 3 in with one muffler, maybe do a duel 3 in

The issue I'm having is that the black widow muffler adds so sound but it's pretty raspy. I feel like since I have a truck and longtubes no cats it should sound deep and loud but with that muffler it's not loud at idle and it sounds weird when I let off the gas. Like the video I posted getting dynoed. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do? I'm leaning towards hooker aero chamber or corse but I wanna dump the exhaust before the diff so I don't feel Like spending that money to not use the whole thing. Or should I dump my exhaust I have now, would that change anything?

I've had a Flowmaster 40 series (didn't like it, raspy w/lots of drone), 50 series (much better/no drone, great sound) and a 70 series (much quieter, but still you knew it was a V8).

When I swapped in the 6.0, I went to the Magnaflow catback system. Great sound (similar to the 50 series).

I just pulled a Flowmaster 50 and installed the full single 3" Magnaflow system including new cats on my Avalance. Really liking the sound, not too loud but it has some growl. It does a little drone around 2500RPM, I may have a drone cancel tube tuned to that rpm installed if it bothers me. I have not yet pulled the boat with it yet.

If anyone cares to know the Aerochambers set up for duals are definitely not any quieter than the Mangaflow was. About the same. Interesting sound. Might keep it.

The wife and I took the truck last night, about 30 minute drive each way. We talked most of the drive and did not notice much objectionable exhaust noise. On upgrades it does get a little loud in the 2200-2400rpm range. I might install a half wave cancellation pipe tuned to 2300 RPMs then it will probably be perfect.
