But it wasn't that hot in Houston today. Around 90 I think. Too hot for doing physical stuff, but I would think the window glass could take that.

My first thought would have been that some lunatic had shot at me. Will your insurance cover it?

I had the drivers side rear window blow out in a storm one day at work. It was raining like a big dog and extremely winding, it was howling for our area. I get off work, see my window and I was like, WTF? I looked around also, no rock, nothing missing. The only thing I could figure was the wind and maybe a pressure difference on the inside of the truck, POP! It made a hell of a mess too and the inside of my truck got soaking wet from sitting out in the rain all day with a blown out window.

Who makes those back glasses? It should be in the little label ethed into the corner of the glass. Maybe something like PPG, Guardian, AP Technoglass, or something like that.

Holy ****!!! I had a guy break into my truck a few weeks after I got it. I didnt want to pay for it out of pocket so I took it to the dealership. I told them the window just blew out. I told them it could be caused by unequal pressures and temp in the truck and outside. They replaced it under warranty. I then took the little **** to court and had him pay the estimated amount for damages and some other stuff. I walked away with a little over 1K without a penny out of pocket. Sorry, you just reminded me of that. I am sorry you had to drop $300 like that.

Man that sux that you had to drop $300 on a window. I don't have an explanation why the window might have blown out but I have heard of things like that happening.
