yea i did it with the 5.3. i think you just have to go into there knowing more about the vehicle and all then they do. im going to pick up me a truck this weekend and im going to make them take alot off what they want for it. i remember when they were all doing that employee pricing the ford dealer here put a paper in the vehicles windows and it showed the holdbacks on it. freaking idiots. do they have to tell you what the holdback is?

They dont have to tell you what hold back is,and probably wont,you can figure its about 3-4%.The problem most people make is they dont know what a good deal is before they get to the dealership,they let the salesman convince them what a good deal is.If you know what your are doing a car deal should go down easy and only in a few minute to come to an agreement.

If you want it, then get it! Offer them 18,000 for it and see what they say. You can always bargain a little with them.

Just signed the papers for 18,800.I tried to talk them down more but that was it.

18,800 out the door is good! There was probably about 2,000.00 in taxes, title and license so you really got the truck for 16,800. Very good! Hell, even if thats before ttl, 20,800 on a damn near brand new truck is fair.

Taxes in SC max out at $300,and $25 for tag transfer.
