Default what the dealer told me!

when i ordered my head bolts he said they have sold OVER 300 sets of head bolts so far in 2011.
wow , thats a lot of bad heads? i guess im #301

thats not very specific. head bolts due to bad heads or head bolts because people are rebuilding LSx engines?

Not a bit surprising with the amount of cam and lifter issues on the engines in the last 5-6 years.

Just cuz they have sold that many, doesn't mean it was due to breakage issues..

I wouldn't blame "bad heads" if you over-heat and warp them....

When I read this I was under the assumption that people are buying due to upgrading their engine. Plus I doubt the parts guy would mean that they sell a bad product.

Cam and lifter sets....piston jobs....leaking head gaskets.....we go through them like water. I've put pistons in 3 trucks so far this week. I know 2 more for Monday are coming in....

What the hell are you guys putting in the gas in Omaha that people are going through pistons like that?
