Default which water pump for car style intake?

I need to figure out which water pump I need to get to run a fast car style intake? The stock water pump hits the throttle body. I need one that had the outlet on the passenger side like a LS3 camaro and has to line up with the belt. I know Ive heard of guys running LS1 water pumps with spacers but I prefer not to run spacers. Is the LS3 pump the correct one?

Interested in what you find. I'm running the LS1 water pump with the dingo spacers. Haven't had any issues but it would be nice to see a pump that would bolt up and align correctly. GL

LS3 water pump works well bc it is designed to clear the VVT cover so spacers are not needed

Where would you put the idler pulley if you went with the LS3 pump? The water inlet is on the drivers side.

Move the idler pulley just like you normally would

Looks like he still had to use spacers on his set up with the LS3 wp. Are you saying the L99 water pump is different due to the VVT?
