Default Warning lights

Since im putting a fresh motor in my '99 silverado and i've already had the cluster worked on twice I was thinking of putting in a set warning lights with separate sensors. I havent really thought about specifics yet but was thinking of 2 small LED's in the pillar with a set of N/O or N/C switches with the water temp and oil pres senors. Any ideas?

On my race car I have a 240 degree light and a below 20psi light. you can pick up the stuff cheap on some dirt track places, they also have an electrical cut off that turns the ignition off below a certain oil pressure.
