Default VVT question

I have a 6.2 l9h motor out of a 2010 chevy and a 5.3 motor out of a 2009 silverado and I'm wondering if they have vvt and can you eliminate it and what are the pros and cons of doing it. I'm working on a swap

I've already answered your questions!? Yes your 6.2 has VVT, no your 5.3 should not, there are no cons to removing VVT or DOD if your swapping the motor for better performance! switch the non VVT parts form the 5.3 to the 6.2, its really that easy man, or buy all front timing parts (front cover, cam gear, chain and chain dampner/tensioner) from an 06 and up LS2/LS3 vette bolt it on and go!
