Seems like the molding ive been trying to get is LOL.
I ordered side molding for my long bed to make it look right since it just stops at the cab. Well after some help from jgme in the part number thread i went to the dealer and orderd the molding. Seems to hard to get i ordered it around 2 1/2 weeks ago and they only got one side! When the dealer got them they shipped one piece and a wiper blade Miss shipped they said. So the other piece is on backorder and said it should be in late next week, but atleast its right. It's 32" long just what i needed.

 

why not just remove the moldings?

 

I like a ding free truck i did on my firebird and wont do it again.Plus i like the chrome.

actually,,,,,,,,,i prefer the looks of gmc's molding,,around the 2000 model year,,is just the chrome part,,,as opposed to chevys version chrome stripe with body colour or paint lower part,,when i get around to it,,id like to rip off my chevy molding,,and put on gmc versions of it,,,one,,for looks,,,goes with the chrome mirrors/bumpers,,two,,does ad some protection.
