Turbo chevy (GMC)

Here is the ultiment question? When is someone going to build a truck like ours with a turbo, or Twin turbo. I hear of people doing it to Z28's and T/A's, why not a truck. i have a hard-on for turbos. i have a friend in Austin who's dad bought one of SW's supras. the damn car has 28pounds of boost. SW told them it should run 9's but they never took it to the track. he could break the tires lose at 85 mph when the car was running on low boost. So my question again is when is someone going to make a truck that is Turbo charged. call me crazy i guess, traction will deff. be an issue.

There was an article in truck trend in like 99 about Lingenfelter doing a twin-turbo setup on a newer Silverado. It was a 2500 4 door 4WD truck. It had the 6.0 engine, but it was taken out and replaced w/ an internally modified 5.7. With the stock exhaust he ran a 12.93 with 285 street tires. The 0-60 time was I think 4.6. Right now a friend has the article, I will get it back and give ya some more details on it. The cost was over 10K to do the twin turbo setup.

Hell I ran 14.6 with 100 shot at 4800# in my 4.8. Not flaming you, just Areocharger. With twins, I would expect a 14 flat or better. God that's gotta be a lot of $$$ for a 14.6.

MacADaYear, i was expecting somthing fast. thanks for the sight, i didnt think anyone had dont a turbo on a truck yet. i can understand the 60' being slow because of traction, but top-end should make up for it...alot.
