Default Trailblazer I6 Engine

I had a dream last night that I had my '67 Biscayne again, but with the Trailblazer I6 instead of the original 250 engine. It was cool.
That 250 was a good engine, and I've always liked inline sixes. The sound is is so Ferarri-esque, and they are turbine smooth. When I first heard of the new DOHC six, I was excited. I expected a big future and a lot of power from these engines.
So what happened? Why don't I ever hear anything about them?

I've always liked straight 6's too. Drop one of the new I6's or I5's into an old Nova or early truck would be a cool project!

Someone did a early Nova wagon with a TB I6 in it with twins. The problem with the I6 is how tall it is. Power isn't an issue as they can be made to either take alot of boost or turn over 8k.

They aren't like the old torquey six's. They make HP up high. You have to spin them to get them going!

Plus the oil pan sucks!
