Default Tr224 in 2011 ccsb 6spd

Ok, I have searched and searched and have found no answers. I have a 2011 crew cab 5.3 6 spd with 3:73's. I want to run the tr224 or tr220 in it with the stock converter. Anyone have any experience with this. It's not a race truck just a driver

Stock converter I would go with the 220. But everyone is different, I have a friend that swapped in a 6.0 with a 232 236 cam two years ago and still has the stock converter. I think it sucks with out a good converter but he doesn't mind it at all

I run a big cam stock converter but i have more motor than you so it's not the same.

As for the 224 you need a 3200 to make it come alive, on a stock converter you are going to lack in the 60' a lot unless you just roll race an spin it to 6700ish

I'm really not looking to go down to the track a lot. Just tryin to turn some heads and it sound good. If I was to do any kind of racin it would be roll racin though lol. I just want to make sure it will be drivable. Ill do a converter maybe this summer

then get a cam that cuts up and is actually useable on a daily basis vs a 5500+ boat.
