Default tires

I'm curious as to what tires people are using. I'm looking at the 20" tires about 285/55 ish in size. I live in Maine where we get all weather possible so dry/wet/snow perf all matter, and in that order to.

So far the Perelli scorpon STR's have my attention, just not sure on thier snow grip

also the Goodyear Fortera SilentArmor

I live in NH and the best thing you can do is get some cheap snow tires and some cheap summer tires and swap them in the spring and fall. Some places will do the swap over for free too.
I took off the 20's a few weeks ago and put on the stock 16" wheels with some Winterforce tires, good price and works well.

I agree. That's what I would do if I had 20's and lived in the northern states. There is a greater selection of snow/winter tires to choose from for 16" wheels compared to 20" wheels.

That's what I'm doing....I have 285/50-20 Toyo Proxes on JGP wheels for summer, and 275/70-16 Toyo Open country AT's on the factory aluminum wheels for winter (the 20's are 31" tall, and the 16's are 31.1" tall). Not only will it help with snow traction, but it'll help keep the Gibb's wheels lookin good...getting close to wheel swapping time real soon as a matter of fact...
