Anybody know if the engine will make more power with it gutted or deleted?

 

Nobody has done a back to back dyno pull or claimed a noticeable change on the butt-dyno. Cant hurt performance to remove it though and some have said it did make the exhaust a little louder.

 

Yea, I didn't really feel anybody would really know. Has to help though anytime you improve flow. Would only be concerned with the additional sound after gutted. It's really nice and quite now and don't want loud.

 

I felt no difference when I ported the third cat on mine. It did make the exhaust a bit little which is what I wanted and why I did it. It is installed after cat to do a final clean up on anything the main cats missed.

 

A little rumble might be a good thing! It's so quite now.

 

I also have the large case magnaflow in place of the OE muffler sounds nice without the 3rd kitty.
