2000_silverado_SS can run with any truck on this forum,I will bet on it. He has tried a few things lately that didn't work as well as expected,that happens to us all.
Thursday night at memphis motorsports we ran motor only.We were the first street cars after the pro cars and they had not changed the tree.I realized it was a pro tree first and won with a hole shot, he was actually a couple of hundreths faster. On the bottle he outran me by a full second but he redlighted.That is very frustrating to have the race settup in your favor and blow it by .005 sec,I know I drove 15 hrs to do it. I am surprised he wrote about it on this forum, I think it was more of a hats off to me, It sure made him cannon fadder to the compu-geeks.

PS flyer is a tattle-tale and I'm beginning to think Chingon and Tiburon are gay,they sure fluiant in ****.

 

I've heard some folks say that you 'lie' or don't tell about all your mods. I think it's decietful. Especially, when you say you aren't spraying.

It's one thing to be vague about your mods, but to straight up lie about them .... that's another.

 

It takes time to get your truck right, just keep trying. My first time with the LS1 I ran a best of 15.6. The old 305 ran a best of 19.99. Part of the fun should be the process of modifying and seeing the results.

well, i am not on active duty any more, just got out in december. i am in the reserves. i am a YN2(SCW) anchor thing was all they had. i am down in Gulfport, MS. spent my last 4 years with the seabees. first 4 with a training squardon. let me tell ya, the hardest thing i have ever done was leave the navy....but for family sake, we do what we have to do.

 

I don't think that I have lied about my mods. Hell I've pointed my setup out at every meeting of tech members. If you can offer any proof to the contrary I would like to see it.As far as what I show,or don't show, at the track or street race is all part of the fun.I have a truck that is used at work daily,pulls a 3horse gooseneck trailer, weighs 5200# and can run any where in the 14's I need to be. If I agree to run on motor only I do not spray,If it is not mentioned I might,if I have you set-up to fall I do.

Goshawk, looking forward to coming back to Hattisburg.As far as not running with me anymore,I just did the mods you said you were doing. I hope your results are better than mine, so far I'm about 2 tenths faster.Not much overall gain for a cam swap but it sure has a nice lope at idle.

 

I may be mistaken ... it wasn't said blatently, but I got the impression that's what he was getting at. If I am mistaken, my apoligies.

I do think it's fair to know what your up against though.
