Default Tailgate is stuck!

I tired for almost an hour the other day to get my tailgate down. I can lift the handle and it'll barely jiggle. Any ideas? I tried using different things to play with the latches and nothing. Is there a way you can take the 3 bolts out on the back of the handle and do something from there? It sucks cause I'll be moving and hopefully riding my 4-wheeler soon.

pull down from the top to get the bezel out. Once it pops out you can grab the rods

If one of your clips is broken, don't buy parts from a dealer that wants to sell you the whole handle assembly. You can get the clip by itself for less than a dollar I think. When I first started looking for a clip the first few dealers that I called wanted to sell me the entire handle for $40. Finally found one that was selling just the clips.
