Default Suggestions 03-05 SS

I currently have a 06 Duramax, but looking at getting a Gasser too to start building as a week end ride. My question is when looking for a SS doner should I get one that has AWD or RWD? My plans are to drop the 6.0 and have a lsx 427 built forced induction with the 4l80 Tranny. I'm torn between the SS and a reg cab sb. Thanks for any thoughts.

If there's no kids to out in it and it'll only be performance based just get a RCSB. Saves you weight, an AWD 80E swap won't be cheap or easy, and you'll pay a premium to start with an SS vs a 4.8L low option truck.

Unless you just love the look of the SS or need AWD you'll save a good chunk of change without it.

Kinda figured on the AWD SS, but thought I would ask. It's mostly going to be a street truck. May take it a couple times to street wars at the local track.

I do like the looks of the 08-13 reg cab, but damn they are hard to find with a V8.
