Default Still cant find oil leak..different oil pressure sensor for 5.3 and 6.0?

Ive had an oil leak for over a year..2 drops about the size of a ping pong ball, coming right off the bottom of the oil pan. inside the bellhousing is all clean as new, and the rear main was replaced when i did the trans. Ive been told it could be the oil pressure sensor on back of the motor behind the intake. It leaks down both sides of the trans. This leads me to believe its not a head or anything like that. What else could it be? valley pan gasket?

but on to the question..Is the oil pressure sensor different for 4.8/5.3 vs 6,.0? I dont see why it would be..all wires hook up the same..the one for a 6.0 was 53 bucks and the 5.3 was 24 bucks..different part number..let me know if you have an idea..thanks for the help

edit- got the same part number from autozone for both, so im guessing it will work..

what other sensor is on the rear of the motor? I know there is one but i cant remember which one..its right in the middle and that could be the culprit leaking down both sides

I know this is an old thread but I'm having the same issue. I thought it was the rear main seal but the converter and flywheel are both clean. It only leaks during a load too. Did you ever figure out what or where your leak was coming from?

i got a new intake, so i replaced the valley pan gasket and re sealed the oil pressure sensor threads, still leaks just like before. The cam sensor was fine as well. i put a new gasket on the blocker plate above the oil filter..idk what else it can be..maybe valve cover gaskets?

Did your LQ4 come out of a wrecked truck?

I've seen aluminum blocks with small cracks...

i know on mine i was pushing alo of prsssure when i want eventing and it would lift the valve cover in the back of the motor, thus leaking oil. might wanna wipe behind the valvecovers on the heads and see if you pull some oil from there.

You can see it is coming from up top somewhere or just think it might be?
