Default Stepside bed make me faster?

I was thinking about taking off my sportside bed and putting on a fleetside bed, but then I thought, I bet mine is lighter. Does anybody know how much lighter my bed (1999 RCSB) would be than the fleetside short bed? Enough to make me faster?

I don't know if it would be worth it. I'm pretty sure that sportside beds weigh less than fleetside beds. There are easier and better ways to get faster...

I read on here somewhere it was like 200 lbs, which would equal about .2 in the 1/4

I have heard both ways, heavier and lighter. Heavier because there is more bracing, lighter because it composite and not steel. There have been several threads about this, I don't remember the conclusion though, I want to say lighter.

They're made out of plastic now, not fiberglass anymore (duh) and although it is smaller it doesn't have fender wells sticking out on the inside of the bed.
