Default special tool for power steering pump??

anyone know if theres a special tool needed to take the pulley off the power steering pump? trucks a 99 2500 6.0, the pulley has a hex/allen head bolt holdin it in, i tried putting the pulley in a vise and taking the bolt out, even tried a impact wrench and the thing wont budge. any advice?

get the correct puller . you wont get it off with a vice as its pressed in . you may be able to press it off and then use a pushed with a long bolt and a nut. but the kit i bought was only like 80 bucks

autozone, as much as i hate them, has a puller from a manufacturer called OEM. buy a hose clamp to go with it, dtich the collar it comes with and use the clamp instead. its cheap
