Slowprocess, just hope it doesn't end up like this:

Man ... I wonder how much of that it would take to loose some rigidity of the frame?

Man, that scares the crap out of me. It almost makes me scared to run it anywhere.....almost. That was a tight squeeze on that trailor, huh? Just don't break anything else before Thunder. I've seen the vid, now I want to see it in person!

It just reminds me of sticking a #2 pencil in an electric sharpener and letting it go until there is nothing left but an eraser. I have a buddy that is building a Ram 50 (read Mitsubishi Mighty Max) to lay frame. Ive never been into it but I can appreciate the work no mater how pointless it is.

I would think that most if not all of those trucks have drag blocks on them. We welded plate steel to the underside of my crossmember so I could drag it...it made some pretty sparks! Titanium makes the brightest sparks, but it was too expensive for my blood.

As far as "pointless," I guess it's all a matter of opinion. To some, trying to make a 4000-5000 pound truck fast is pointless. Whatever floats your boat.

Wow, there are so many reasons why doing that on a public street is wrong.

I really can't believe they'll drive in front of / behind each other like that. Debris has to be flying everywhere.

I guess I'm one who doesn't get it...

That sound when draging is so frigin awful, The highway vid was cool, but I would be pissed at them if i was behind them kicking up rocks and ****. Can't do that in New England the highways are too bumpy with the winters we have around here.
