Spark Plugs?
#1
ok so i have the 2 front o2 sensors trowing codes so i figure maybe its a bad plug or wire cause the truck isnt running as smoothly as it used to so i went out and bought some new wire and the bosh plat. 4 plugs. Im just wondering how tuff it is to change em out, what tools i need and what i need to watch out for. I am used to having these cars the are hard to change the plugs on, so i have never changed to plugs in anythnig other than like a 79 Chevy truck. Any comments or is it pretty straight forward?

mine was a pain in the *** last weekend. the plugs come off of the coil pack easily but they didnt want to come off of the plugs at all. i pulled so hard i ripped the wires from the plugs. the little metal clip that clamps onto the tip of the plug would stay there and i would be stuck with a wire, boot and heatshield
. after i did 3 plugs like that i just got a pair of pliers and started ripping on wires

O2 sensors could have crapped out too...
Those bosch +4's aren't gonna perform any better than a regular plug, unless one of the ground electrodes breaks off, and then you got 3 spares left on the plug. It only fires to one electrode at a time...

how many miles do you have? if your under 80k i would leave the same plugs in, and look elsewhere for the problem. if you dead set on changing plugs, why not go with the factory plugs? nothing wrong with them at all...

i went with the bosh plugs because i have a buddy at a local parts shop and the factory plus were gonna cost me roughly $4.50 each whaere the bosh cost me $3.50 each. I have right around 80k on them now.
