Went to the local 1/8th mile track with 250ish miles on the truck. 10.6@67mph with 2.48 60 ft(not spinning and going through the traps in 2nd gear around 3,500rpms). All of course bone stock.

not bad numbers

might want to look into an intake and pacesetter lt headers, they just dynoed on a 5.3 with some mods at almost 25 rwhp and 33 rwt, doesnt sound like it would be that bad of a mod to start the truck off.

Man I thought I was on the ball here with modding a new truck. I bought the same truck as you about 1 month ago. I just picked up eaton posi and 3.73. I have an aerochamber sitting in the garage right next them and my diablo just showed up but they sent wrong one.( They sent 04-05) Anyways, the reason why I am stealing your thread is because I was curious what these trucks are running bone stock in the 1/4. I saw your 1/8 posting but I wasnt sure if there is a way to convert 1/8 to 1/4 times. I have heard these trucks run 16s stock. My goal is to get high 14s on gears/diablo tune/3000 stall. Once procharger gets the kit ready for 2006 then I am hoping that gets me down the 13s. Congrats on the new truck, I am sure you dont miss the Colorado at all.

What can a stock 5.3L do??? How about this - '02 Yukon - N/A 5.3L/4L60E (stock)... 15.91 @ 85mph; 2.3 60' (no weight reduction, but added weight of ~50# dual 12" sub speaker box, child car seat, infant stroller & my 215# a$$ w/ an illegal can o' beer. )

I'm sure the '05 & '06 5.3Ls (in RCSBs & ECSBs) can do a tad better.

1/8 time X 1.56 = 1/4 time

Thats the formula I've always been told. Sounds like your on the ball with the mods.

06 cc 5.3 w/3.23's, custom tune and muffler = 15.2

not bad for the mods....
