Long tube headers are illegal in CA so that's out and the truck is brand new so i dont want to go into it in a way that may void out a big chunk of my warranty.

When you say beef or strengthen the tranny are you talking shift kit? I already have the line pressure up 20% and will go up another 5-10% on next tune ( I do have Wester's tuning already).

Which torque converter would i benifit from, remember i may tow on occasion and definately off road or snow/ice conditions in 4WD.

I would groove on cam and whipple! but i think i'll wait a couple years before doing that.

Anyone know a good shop in the S.F. Bay area for performance trucks?
thanks again!

Thanks!
Other mods to consider in this price range?
I get about 16.6 mileage mix of 50-50 i get 18mpg at 65mpg and 17 at 70mph, i also am running 265/70/17s city they do wonders never need to go past 2000rpm also get a TB converter. You can also do 1.6-1.8 rockers but best bang for the buck is the 4.10s

5.3Alum thanks for the answers. I like to take trips to the mountains on occasion and am leaning more towards the 3.73's for the best of both.

What exactly is a TrailBlazer converter, one for the Chevy TrailBlaizer? Would i need a larger tranny cooler than stock? What is it's stall? Part #'s? How will it work for towing and off-road use?

What kind of suspension mods would you suggest? Dont want to lift it, like my stance now! Running the stock Bilstein shocks.

Nitrous? Hell yeah. Thought of putting a 75 shot but again, truck is too new! By the way, how much life is lost with an occasional (hehe) use of nitrous?

If you don't want to lift it then i don't know how much you would profit from new shocks.

Nitrous shouldn't be that detrimental if used properly. Run 93 octane, change the oil every 2k miles if used somewhat regularly, maybe spring for colder plugs and certainly nothing titanium, as titanium reacts to nitrous and destroys titanium plugs.

Anything lower than a 100 shot i think would be very safe. A tune would be preferable as well, and a wet shot would probably be the safest method.

And yeah converters are great too. All autos need converters.
