I don't think the Police Tahoe Came with a Trans Temp. This was supposed to be a custom install of the gauge in the cluster. Perhaps.

Like 454SS & rocker joe, I'll be running Cobalts. I'm goin w/. WB, Boost, Fuel Press. & a DPIC somewhere to play w/. for impromptu 0-60, 60-0 runs and such.

While DPIC can be in a less visible place since it's more for play than function (like the WB, boost or FP), I want the gauge I use the most on top or closest to my eyeline

Altho the pillar makes a great place to mount, it draws unwanted attn. from cops, thieves, & racers. Looks a bit ricer, since they all run em on 15-17 sec imports. Just my opinion, but I may be forced to go pillar for ease of view, mounting.

I want a trans temp ga., so a SS cluster may get the nod. But seeing some of these pics, a Denali or Esky cluster would match better.

20firebird02, the OH mount u asked is a SoCal.

fastrt, SoCal is where some are getting the overhead console pods. Originally, I was too, but think I'm goin a different way.

Scott, does ur 06 SSS have a sunroof? Heres my dilema. The pocket on my overhead console is too small for any gauge pod to fit, or any gauges for that matter. Is this because of the sunroof?

I'm thinkin the sunroof may be why. Cause my RC gas the lil 1, that'll accept that plate you're holdin. I believe a 2 1/16 will fit, but not thwe 2 1/2. My Opening is ~2 1/2."

They also have the full length OH console. But again sunroof won't allow it to happen.
