Mechanics are just simply 'parts-replacers', while technicians are schooled professionals. BTW, I also run 4's at 200+, but for some reason Im having traction issues off the line

im surrounded by idiots like these also, 12 second 1.5 n/a civics, mustangs that should run 10's with stock tires, and they have never been down a track, hell a guy asked me what my truck ran and i told him with headers and tune it ran 14.0, he said thats all? i run 14.2's with hypertech only, (its a 01 ecsb 5.3 stock as a rock) If u could legally beat the sh@t out of one person per year.....

Ok, I have to add this...

One of my buddy's had a SBC replace in his full size blazer. The thing was leaking oil like crazy about a week later. He took it back to the shop and the oil pan was about to fall OFF!. They saw the new tires he had just put on and said "oh, you just out those tires on? The old tires must have been out of balance and shook the oil pan bolts loose"

We got a guy around here with a 99 or so dodge ecsb that says he can run 9's. Tyler tried to set a race up for me for $100 and the guy said he had to get his supercharger put back on and get his Nawz hooked back up or some **** like that. I hate stupid people

That's the tops...out of balance tires rattled the oil pan bolts loose...everybody knows that they'll loosen the intake bolts first!

the timing chains on those 4.6's are pressed on, no keys, not any real good timing marks to speak of LOL... its a bit tricky to get one perfect. BUT.... why the hell was he messing with the timing if he was just swapping a motor!?!?!

being a Technician at a dealership, I deal with these people all the time... I had a customer today tell me his 08 Mustang ran 10's (1/4 mile) STOCK the day he bought it. I just turned and walked towards my tool box I didnt even bother telling him my stock looking truck sitting right behind my bay door would make anything on our lot look silly
