Hey guys what do yall think about the tahoes? I went and looked for a 2008 silverado but they wouldn't give me crap for a trade in. My truck now has 142K miles on it, good condition and they only offered me $2,800. Anyways I was looking on carmax and found some nice lookin tahoes. they are 2004 and 2005 year models.

Are there any problems i should know about with these year of tahoes? I don't really ever go offroading but the Z71 looks rather nice. I was thinking abou just getting a regular LT model 2 wheel drive but it looks like it gets the same gas mileage as the Z71. What kind of mileage do the Tahoes get? Should I just save my money and wait a few years or should I get a tahoe and drive that for another 100K miles?

I'm worried that I'm about to have some problems down the road but for the price of the tahoe I could easily repair any problems.

 

I would ride out your truck right now as you can get used motors cheap, and new ones are about 4000.

That is if you like it. Becouse right now the minute you buy the Tahoe your in the hole for it where as your truck got to be paid off.

I have a RCSB and wish I got the extended cab so I can carry more people then me.
