i'm going thru the EXACT delima, only having to choose between the truck and a 300SRT8!

Goodluck with the decision!

They're fast? Seems to me the last 20 GTO's I saw ran mid 13's stock.

Ok I want one too but what's so unique about them?

lol and whats wrong w/ mid 13's stock? thats about what z28's and SS run along w/ formula's and so on..yeah it's got a 6.0 that has "400" hp but it also weighs 4000lbs. I've seen guys on ls2gto.com run 12.9's stock. So...whats your point?

I think the GTO's are a bore in styling. Nothing really unique about what they did with it. IMO.
If you do decide to switch over to a car, think about what you do use or could use your truck for when it is needed.
I use my truck for just driving to and from work. Nothing gets put into the bed there. I just won't allow it.
My inside of my bed has maybe 2 surface scatches. Very clean.
I do haul a trailer a few times a year. Having the ability to own a truck has a lot of advantages over a car. The car may be faster, but you cant do anything else with it but drive in it.
There will always be a truck in my family.
If I were to buy a car, it would be the new Camaro. I would even say Corvette, but I'm thinking reality here. Not in my budget.
I'm very bias to Dodge, but the new Chalenger coming looks pretty awesome too. They would definately have to take away the look of an Intrepid *** end like the Charger has for me to even begin to consider.
I say keep the truck! If you do decide to sell it, I want to swap you Corsa systems. You know why.
Why wont you mod the truck to make it faster? Hell, slap a 100 shot on there and some slicks, you'll be in the mid to low 12's. I've already seen it done when we were at the track together a year ago.
I would like to see how it would take to a 125-150 shot.
I may even add some NO2 to the S/C set-up after a FLT trans gets put in.
Your truck has the potential, you just haven't given time to explore it.
Good luck on the decision!

Jim

I used to think the GTO's were nothing more than V8 Cavaliers. They are starting to grow on me, but I gotta have my truck. I wouldn't mind having one and keeping my truck, but not giving up my truck for one.

I almost traded my truck for a GTO, but I use my truck too much. I love the GTOs and I will have one when I can afford to keep my truck and own one too. I drove one and the ride is awsome, not to mention barking third gear with traction control on.

I'm really not concerned if the GTO stands out like a Camaro or TA, that's why I like it. The subtle differences they made from 04 to 05/06 is why they've really caught my attention. But the comfort + performance is what i'm going for.
