Shortest tire on 02 silverado
#1
Trying to weigh options. Have factory 16's on a stock 2wd with 2" level kit. Seems like all the tire sizes are gone that I would have liked to run so my question is has anyone ever ran a 26" tall tire? I don't want it to look like *** if it's going to leave a lot of space in the wheelwell. If it would look better going with a 2/4 drop Im not entirely opposed to that but money is tight. I do have a set of 18" wheels that I need to restore but that would leave me with the need to purchase more expensive tires. My plan was originally to sell the 18's and make some money to go towards the truck. Opinions please, pics if you have ran a 255/50-16. TIA

My truck is lowered about 1" in the front, and has 2" shackles in the back. I have 30.5" tires on the front and 31" on the rear. There's still a decent amount of gap with those tire sizes.
I feel that you are going to need to lower it a lot more than 2/4 to run a 26" tire and not have a ton of wheel gap. I think around 28"-29" will be pushing it.
