Hey guys, I'm prepping for the RCR Shootout and I decided to lower my truck.
I'm going with the rear shackles and hangers from sport truck direct. com, they are western chassis. I like them because they are adjustable, 3-4".
I've always bought the bilstein shocks, and love them, but how do they compare to the doetsch tech nitro slammers shocks? The nitros seem to give a smoother ride and adjust somewhat , but handling and performance is what I want, I really don't care if it's a little rough, hell the camaro was and I loved it.
For the front i'm going with 2" Eibach springs.
So, what do ya'll think.
also, i'm buying some Kuhmo's , 275/60/15's, will those fit on the stock rims? Can i go fatter, and also do i want to go with a 55 or 50 series instead?
the tire must not stick past the fender.
thanks,
allen

Bilsteins all the way. I have had Doestch Techs, Belltech Nitro Actives and now Bilsteins. Doestch Tech were definitely better than the Belltechs, but didn't compare to the Bilsteins. The Belltech were horrible and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. I blew two different set on the front end.

I second what Y2K2Sierra said. Belltech shocks suck! I had them on my truck for a while and they are waaaay too soft for our trucks. I put the stock shocks back on (they fit with a four inch drop up front suprisingly) and they are sooooo much better.
