How long was your loan? I have over 4 yrs to go. Good feeling paying a loan off. I've never had enough on-hand to buy a new one outright.

Thanks again. The truck was originally for my dad. When I got my license I started driving it to school like twice a week. After the billet grill, shackles and CD player, he just let me have it to myself. I bought it from him when I got a job after graduating . The past couple of months I've been putting like $500-1000 over the note a month so I could pay it off a little quicker. And as of yesterday at 4:30, it is a DONE DEAL.

Amen, brother! That's what I did. It's the only way to go, if you can afford it.

Working two jobs made it a little easier. Now you know why I haven't been to the track lately.
Actually it's a sideline. Plant job by day, musician by night.

Since you guys are talking about financing, I thought I would throw in my 2 cents. most of you guys are saying you took the 0% instead of taking the big rebates. Let me tell you why this might not be the best idea for you. I bought a 2004 Trailblazer for my wife and took all the rebates and like 4.9 for 72 months. Well 6 months later, a girl in a Kia T-bones at 60 and totals it. Because we took the rebates, we only actually owed 23,000. If we had went 0% and refused the 3500 or so off, we would still have owed over 26000 and we would have lost money on totaling the vehicle. Remember when you take the rebates you dont owe as much on payoff because a 26500 truck financed at 0% may have the same payments as a 23000 truck with 4.9%, but you dont get any benefit on paying the vehicle off early. You understand what I am saying.
