SES codes???
#1
My SES light has been on for a while (truck doesnt seem to be running bad) so I borrowed an Innova OBD2 code reader from a buddy and these three codes came up, I cleared the first one and the other two just dissapeared, I waited awhile then went to go drive it to see if the light would come back on and as soon as I started the truck it came back on so I cleared it again and immediately went drive the truck and it never came back on. What exactly do these codes mean??? THANKS!!!!
P0102- Mass or volume circuit low input
P0443- Evaporative emission control system purge control valve circuit malfunction
P0449-Evaporative emission control system vent valve/solenoid circuit malfunction

what year is your truck?
not quite sure what those mean. the 1st one sounds like an air intake problem. the other 2 sound like EGR. wish i could help you out more. try posting again in the performance section. might have more visibility there. not sure though

Its a 2001 Sierra 5.3, I think the other 2 codes are from when I drove my truck w/ open headers to the exhaust shop. I tried another maf and it set it off again and I tried both maf's in a 2000 tahoe and no codes, so now I'm confused.

Also the EVAP codes can get thrown by a loose or worn gas cap seal. Make sure you turn the cap until you get the clicks ( two or three ). Else look into replacing the cap, pretty cheap if it keeps coming back.

Well, found the problem, a burnt fuse under the hood (ENG 1), We checked the voltage to the wires on the plug and the pink wire didnt have 12v so we started checking fuse we thought might be the problem and BINGO, found a burnt one! Thanks for all the help.
