Funny thing is that on stock lifters in a stock sbe in many cases a 7.4 pushrod puts preload up in the .110-.130 range

I got the Summit LS7 factory replacements, upgrade from my 01 stock lifters, 1,000+ or so miles and no issues yet, need to run thicker oil than stock 5w-30 Mobile1, but was planning on doing wither a 10w-30 or 10w-50 VR-1 synthetic oil.

Why run thicker oil esp a 10-50? 10-40 is well more than enough for what ls engines were designed for. Besides itll be the same viscosity at temp as 10-30 would.
